Do you think a MS, 3-4 solid years in the workforce, quality undergrad research, and an upward trending undergrad GPA can compensate for a low overall undergrad GPA(2.9 yes I know its abysmal) and below-stellar GRE scores(verbal 145 quant 151 essay 3.5(I plan on re-testing if I make it far enough to become a PhD prospect)?

I am starting a MS program in the fall. I didn't have my head tied on right my first few years in college but pulled it together towards the end. I have a plethora of quality of undergrad reseach experience, including a poster presentation at an national conference and executing a former grad students thesis project. I was quite lucky and landed a great job after graduation, who is paying for grad school.

Thoughts?

If you have high grades in your MS, it can. Check out the sub 3.0 GPA thread (I think it's in the waiting it out section?)

The two programs I got in only wanted my ms transcript upon acceptance and didn't want my bs official transcript.
