sadegh_cpu Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I have BSc in software engineering and I applied for Politechnic di milano university (spring semester)for this two programs : 1-Campus: MILANO LEONARDO School: ENGINEERING Degree program: COMPUTING SYSTEMS ENGINEERING 2-Campus: COMO School: ENGINEERING Degree program: COMPUTER ENGINEERING Taught in English: YES Is it a good university to study? my criteria : 1-high quality of education so that i will be ready for PHD programs at the best universities in USA or Canada. 2-being not high priced (there are some scholarships that I wonder if anyone think I will admit for them or not). my CV: GPA : 15.73/20 , IELTS : academic -> 6.5 , more than 19 month of related work experiences. I wonder if it is good to go there now or I should wait for other programs in other countries like Sweden which will be take place next autumn. any comment is welcome and will be so helpful to me

sadegh_cpu Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 what If i don't admit in main campus? pls answer
zilch Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 The university is considered to be Top 100 in the world, so you should be fine. I can't really figure out what the different campuses mean. It really seems like the university didn't have enough space in one location for all of their facilities during expansion so they started new campuses.
conan33 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Hi, I am Italian Politecnico di Milano is an esteemed university here in Italy, perhaps the best fo computer engineering. Would you receive scholarships? Milano is really expensive. University tuition are low as everywhere in Italy, I guess 1500 Euro per year. But housing is really expensive, a single room, far from the center can cost you 400 euro per month with heating, light and other expenses still to add. Are you applying to a Master's? And where would you continue for your Phd? Italy is ok for master's but I definitely encorauge you to apply somewhere else for a Phd!!! And remember this: in Italy nobody speaks english, maybe your professors, your classmates, but if you go to post office, to bakery, to pharmacy it could be a problem!! Hope this helps, if you have additional questions please let me know!!
