toxicdevil Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 How do the admission requirements and difficulty vary for the combined MS/PhD for Computer Science, when compared to separate MS or PhD? Are the combined programs also fully funded like PhD?
shinigamiasuka Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Combined MS/PhD programs are usually funded, just like PhDs. MS admission is usually easier to get than a PhD because you'd need higher credentials for a PhD admission, especially so if you're going for a direct PhD. You'll need to prove that you're capable of performing research through publications and previous research experience. An application for a MS/PhD program would need to be as strong a direct PhD application.
