canis-major
I have been accepted to the Industrial Design grad programs at both SCAD and Art Center and am having trouble deciding which program is the best option. I am mainly interested in any advice on the following: Is the education worth the cost of tuition + living? Are the professors invested in my education? What are the chances of getting a job in my field post-graduation? (SCAD seems particularly proud of it's career center but I'm skeptical.) Better ranked school vs more widely known school? When visiting Art Center I got the feeling that there was a very elitist attitude and I should be thankful that I was accepted. Not sure if this was the tour guide or if most students and faculty act similarly. As far as SCAD goes, I do no thrive well in a small-town Southern setting or get along with these sorts of people. Based on my visit I am not sure if the school environment reflects this and do not want to be stuck with job prospects that are only in the South. Any additional insight would be helpful. Thank you!
