But before I only considered applying to Phds, but have recently decided I am also going to apply to some masters programs. I know with a Phd you are supposed to apply to a program with a faculty that has similar research interests to yours…is it the same with masters? I know for Phds it is recommended that if you are interested in working with a certain faculty member that you contact them and see if they are taking on students, is it the same for masters?
