Baloch Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Hello Linguists! Who can provide a feedback on this program? What are their admission requirements for international students, and do they cover only America's languages or also the Middle East/West Asia? http://web.mit.edu/linguistics/mitili/
Tairy Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 The website says that "The Department of Linguistics and Philosophy is in the process of creating a Master’s program in linguistics for speakers of threatened languages." so I don't think concrete answers exist for you yet.
fuzzylogician Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 I am not sure this an active program. It was/is designed to train speakers of indigenous languages to study their own languages and be able to document/revive them. Famously, Jessie Little Doe Baird participated in it. In all the time I was there, though, I don't think there was anyone doing this Masters program. As the website says, if you are interested in it, you should email Norvin Richards. He will have more informed answers for you.
Baloch Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Thanks for the replys guys. I've tried to contact them and I've emailed Norvin Richard, but without an answer for a month!
