Northwestern, UChicago, UIC, UMichigan--What do you think of your program?

Congratulations to everyone accepted into their programs this year--it must be super exciting! 

 

I'm planning on applying this Fall for Studio art.  I'm particularly interested in programs with a social practice leaning, but that are interdisciplinary (I work in painting, printmaking, and dabbling in sound work). At the moment, my top choices are Northwestern University and University of Chicago, but I'm also going to apply to the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the University of Michigan.

 

I'm just wondering, for those currently attending these schools--what do you think of your program? Who's your favorite faculty member? How do you feel about funding, etc? Do you have any advice on applying? 

 

Also, if anyone can suggest other programs for me to look into--it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
