TheCuriousPrimate
Hey I'm from Fresno Ca and am moving to Fullerton soon. What are some cheap apartments that are in walking distance of the school? It's 3x cheaper in Fresno so the cost is going to be hard for me to get used to. Is anyone else moving to this are?
sunnyskies13
I am moving to the area at the end of this month. I am going to live in Cypress because I will also have an internship I will need to commute to so I wanted to be more centrally located. I don't know much about housing near campus sorry. silverwreath
My wife and I, plus our cat and dog, are moving to California so I can attend Cal State Fullerton's Graduate Program in Counseling. I'm overwhelmed by the cost of housing. Where do grad students typically live? What is affordable on a grad student budget?
lbkd808
I know this is from a while ago and I wasn't a student there but I recently lived in Fullerton and I lived in the Haver Hill Apartment Complex. The rent isn't insanely cheap but they do allow pets and it's a nice enough complex! There were also a lot of students living there.
ziggysunshine
I grew up in Fullerton, and although I don't live there now, I might be able to give you some tips! I know a couple of friends that attend CSUF, and they live over at the apartment complexes off of Nutwood on the south side of the campus- Deerpark Homestead apartments, Montclaire Apartments, Streams Apartments, etc. Not sure what the current cost of those looks like, but they might be worth a look. Also, if you're willing to live further away from campus, check out rentals/options on the south side of Fullerton, around Orangethorpe Ave or La Palma. That side of Fullerton (that borders Anaheim) tends to be cheaper than the northern portion that borders Brea. Hope that helps! Feel free to send me a message if you have any other questions. Welcome to Fullerton! I went to CSUF for undergrad. Get used to outrageous COL - Orange County is expensive. However, check out the Sturbridge Apts off of Placentia and Yorba Linda. Cheapest for walking distance to school, about only a mile and a half from the backside of campus (baseball field/lot a). The last time I was there rent was about 1295-1345 depending on the bedroom!
