shovonreza Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Hi, I am an international student, so I am not very familiar with US rules. I am a college senior and will graduate on June 2016. If I want to catch fall 2016 PhD programs without waiting 1 year, I'll need to apply with only 3 years of course-works and grades in my transcript, as most application deadlines end by January and My senior year transcripts will not be available before January. Can I apply with that transcript? Thanks!
talkcherty2me Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 People who are applying directly out of college in the US will have a similar transcript. Depending on the application deadline, a college senior applicant would have either 3 or 3.5 years on their transcript. It's totally fine!
fuzzylogician Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Yes, you can apply with that transcript. Once your transcript for the Fall becomes available, you might want to send it to the schools you're applying to and ask them to update your application. If you're admitted, your admissions will be conditional upon you graduating on time with your BA. They'll probably want to see a transcript or BA certificate in the summer, before you start your graduate program in the Fall. (All of which is to say, this is standard operating procedure for anyone applying while still in school, it's not a problem.)
