coasts Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I'm looking to apply to MPP/MPA programs this fall. While I have strong work experience and excellent GRE scores, I'm concerned about my fairly poor undergraduate transcript. I'm considering taking an online class (or maybe at a school - I'm in NYC), mostly likely statistics. Does anyone have recommendations for good online providers? I checked UCLA Extension, and their online classes are only offered periodically from what I can tell. UC Berkeley Extension has a statistics class online for about $800 so I may go that route. Also appreciate any thoughts on whether taking an intro statistics class (which I already took in college; just didn't do well in) is a worthwhile endeavor, particularly while I'm also going to be working on applications! Thanks!
Kaneisha Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Hi Coasts, An option I highly recommend is HBX CORe. It is a fairly new online program offered by Harvard Business School that covers Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting. All of my clients who I have recommended this program to have been accepted into the course and enjoyed it (though it is rigorous). It is currently $1800 for the non-credit cost and $3,600 for the for-credit cost. Best of luck! Kaneisha
