Really basic question about academic year... please help.

Hi all,

 

One of my potential PIs has written two sentences about her graduate students' acceptance. On one page, she has said she wont be accepting students for 2015-16 academic year.

 

But somewhere else on the website, she has written that she will be accepting students for coming 2016-2017 year. I am a little confused. I will be applying for next Fall that is 2016. But I will be turning in my application by December, 2015.

 

Which academic year is it if I am applying for Fall 2016 admission? Thank you!
