Invite to Apply- Accounting PhD

Has anyone received any invitation to apply email from the Harvard Business School Doctoral Program--specifically Accounting PhD?  I have never applied or sent my scores to HBS, but when I took the GRE last year, I chose to report my scores.  The email states that based on my scores and the information provided(GPA, major, etc.), I am what they are looking for in a candidate.  Since Harvard has very selective admissions, I am a bit hesitant to apply.  So, are these emails sent out in mass quantities, or do I really have a shot here?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing, I also received the same email (not for accounting specifically though..). Can you give us a little bit information about your background? At least we can figure out what range/criteria they use to send these emails.

 

Mine:

GPA: 3.5

GRE: V 153, Q 169

Undergrad: Engineering
