Hey guys, I'm applying for the neuroscience phd programs starting from 2016 fall. With the deadline of most programs (Dec. 1st) approaching, I'm still not sure what schools or which level of phd programs I should be applying. Can anyone provide any insights/suggestions? Any advice will be appreciated!

I'm currently doing Molecular&Cell biology as my first major, with a second major in psychology because we do not have neuroscience as an undergrad major here... And with a minor in Chem.

My overall GPA is pretty low... Only 3.39, because I have 2 majors and graduate in 3 years, somehow it affects my GPA.

GRE: verbal 160 +quan 167+writing of 3.0 I know that my analytical writing is way below the average. I'm an international student from Asia, and when I took the test, I did not take any college level scientific writing class. I got B+ in both of my college writing classes. Would this prove that I'm not HORRIBLE at writing? Should I take GRE again?

Research experience: joined a neuroscience lab at the start of my second semester in Freshmen year, so it should be 5 entire semesters of research till I graduate.

Again any advice will be appreciated! Thanks!

And I don't know if this is worth mentioning... but the MCB program we have is about 30th in the country, with a top 10 psychology program.
