How to send IELTS scores to universities in USA?

Hi guys, I know this section is predominantly about GRE discussion but I couldn't find another place where I should post this question. I gave my IELTS on August 29th and yesterday received my official score via post. They call it the TRF. However, I don't know how I'm supposed to send my score electronically as I wasn't given that option while registering. Will I have to write my form number in the applications or what? I doubt uploading a scanned copy would be considered official. I'll be applying from Pakistan. Some advise on this would be really appreciated.
