lolo1 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 My undergrad GPA is below 3.0, and I want to email departments to check whether or not any GPA requirement is a hard limit. However, I don't want the first thing that a department finds out about me to be my GPA. What should I do?I've considered creating a fake email address for this purpose, but it's not the most honest approach.
svent Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 1. Make a fake email.2. Give them a call.3. Use your real email and if they're going to blacklist you, save the application fee instead of getting rejected.
lightballsdeep Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hello! I've been dealing with the same thing, even made a post about it! But, I have been using the strategy of sucking people in on my interests and getting the ball rolling on that, then dropping my GPA in. I've found that response has been pretty much the same from everyone: "the rest of the application will have to be really strong but it doesn't automatically DQ anyone." Hope that helps!
