I'm an English major, but want to focus my studies on American literature (particularly that of people of color, women, immigrants, etc.)Does anyone know of any MA programs that focus primarily or solely on American Literature? Guest Posted September 19, 2015 Share Posted September 19, 2015 Most MA programs require you to take a wide variety of classes in different literary periods. Many also require a class in theory and a class in bibliography. It isn't until your PhD that you get to specialize.
