NOT! Welcome back 1990's for that one!  I can't wait until Friday!

Oh you my made my heart drop! (Not that I wouldn't be super happy for you...)

So after reading through some of the past EdLD strands, admissions told people they were inviting for interviews over a period of about two weeks. I'm not sure if this is still true. We'd be in week one if that was the case this year, but I'm too nervous to write them.

Holy cryptic message, Batman! Haha...

But seriously, is this well wishes, or inside info...?!

Oh man... now I'm on pins and needles!!! Not fair!!

Guess I was wrong!  It's pretty cool dreaming with the rest of you.  Perhaps tomorrow is the day!  Keep the faith, folks!

I'm surprised no one on this thread has heard anything. But I suppose competition is really stiff even to just get an interview.

I am shocked that nobody on here has heard a thing.  The only thing we heard was one poster last week who never mentioned anything after he said the invitations were sent last Thursday.  Anybody bold enough to call Admissions?  They're available from 1:00-5:00...

Hi,

I've actually been following this thread because a friend of mine was applying for the EDLD program. He was rejected on Monday (2/8). So if you haven't heard something by now, that could be a good sign? I can feel the agony through the computer so I thought it might be helpful to say something... I don't have too many answers beyond that, like whether it was email or phone call, or what. Didn't want to ask. Hope this helps.

Hmm interesting. I didn't think you officially get rejected until next month.

To be honest, maybe it's a good thing I don't get in. I just got an interim promotion at work with the promise of an additional promotion in June and have a lot of potential here all of a sudden. Harvard accepting me would create a whole layer of confusion and how could I turn it down even if it's really best for me to keep moving up where I am?

Hi everyone; new here.  I'm a fellow Fall 2016 Ed.L.D. applicant.  I just got off the phone with HGSE admissions, and they confirmed what I had suspected: ALL interview requests have been sent out.  Final decisions will be made available in "mid-March."

Best of luck to you all in your pursuits!

I decided to call HGSE admissions and the person on the phone was very nice.

"All interviews have been sent out via email (at the same time) and those are scheduled for the end of the month. There have been times in the past when we had to go back into the applicant pool, which is why we do not send everyone their admissions decisions until mid-March." I did not receive an interview email.

I did interview at UPenn last weekend for their EdD in Educational Leadership, though.

Fingers crossed for Penn.

I'm sure you're going to do great things where you are! Enjoy learning in any and every environment, right!

Everyone, so sorry that no one on this thread got an interview, but at least we know! We'll all do amazing things anyway!! I'm bummed, but it's more like, my ego is sad that I didn't even get an interview. It was always a stretch.

Hi everyone,

I didn't get an interview either!  I've been out of grad school and in the field for many years, having worked in the classroom and in admin.  I was warned by a former professor that my views were too progressive for this program, as it is funded by Bill Gates and favors TFA grads and charter school principals.  I don't want to end up where I don't belong, so I imagine this is for the best.

Good luck to all to follow a path that will nurture your potential.
