  1. Best of luck to all of you!!!! I hope it's all fantastic news!!!!
  2. Yep, got my official rejection letter
  3. I tried to vote your comment up, but I am out of up votes. They really like to dampen the positivity on here don't they? haha.
  4. Haha I JUST did the same exact thing and yes, the email notification came out at exactly 5:06 CST! But I knew before the email came out because the status update happened before they emailed everyone.
  5. Someone posted on the results page that they were accepted to EdLD by phone today. I hope I at least get my official rejection at 5 with the rest of you! (Well, I mean news with the rest of you. I hope you are all accepted!!!)
  6. Saw on the results page that someone found out they were accepted today!!! Congrats mystery person!!!
  7. OMG I just got an email from HGSE about an invitation to the HGSE reception at AERA. Freaked me out despite already knowing I'm getting a rejection.
  8. Sure, and it was only the second Friday in March in 2013 because the first Friday was March 1, and I think generally that is earlier than they send them out.
  9. In any case, I keep refreshing my application status even though I already know I've been rejected. It's like I need to see it in writing to REALLY know it.
  10. Three years ago it was the second Friday in March, and all of the years before that it was on a Tuesday. We did all this crazy speculating on here on Tuesday, March 5th because we all were positive that's when we were going to find out based on analysis of prior years' data... and then we waited three painstaking days to actually hear. So I think there's a good chance it'll be today, but there's no definitive rationale behind when notices go out. The good thing is, unlike EdLD interview notices, which went out staggered and kept me on my toes (to no relief!) for weeks, everyone hears about M.Ed. programs at the exact same time either way. So no news is literally just that - no news.
  11. No science there. Most likely after. I heard at 5:30 three years ago. But they could change things up. Plus, it's early and there's a good chance you're not going to hear today at all, sooooooo I'd say calm down, but that's a pointless statement
  12. YEP! Historically, changes have been made after business hours, so I wouldn't get toooo obsessive about it yet if you can avoid it.
  13. Posted as a link. There was a highlighted note that said "A change has been updated on the status of your application" and then you clicked it and it linked to the acceptance page.
  14. Now I'm starting to wonder when I'll get the official rejection notice. Should be soon.
  15. Good luck everyone!!!! Just a thought - when acceptances went out two years ago, they were available on your student portal on the application a couple of hours before the email went out - so you might want to check that throughout the afternoon. We knew to check because someone on here wrote that they had gotten theirs. I'm now just waiting for my official rejection to the EdLd program. Maybe next year!
  16. When I got my snail mail letter, I framed it and gave it to my dad (who had told me to frame my rejection letter upon hearing I applied) :).
  17. Try not to take it too personally. I am also disappointed that I did not get in (or that I'm not interviewing RIGHT NOW), but keep in mind that over 500 applicants apply every year for 25 little spaces and those 500 some people I'm sure are very qualified. We don't actually know what we're up against, or who they are looking for. I do think that a few people who get in have applied a few years in a row - depends on the cohort they are building that year, and how much experience they want people to have. I'm sure you're a really excellent candidate, so don't give up hope for next year!
  18. Congratulations!!! That's so awesome! You're going to do great things!
  19. That is good to know, especially considering my views are generally not aligned with the Bill Gates/TFA/Charter anyway, so this program probably would not have been the best fit for me if that's what they are going for.
  20. Everyone, so sorry that no one on this thread got an interview, but at least we know! We'll all do amazing things anyway!! I'm bummed, but it's more like, my ego is sad that I didn't even get an interview. It was always a stretch.
  21. To be honest, maybe it's a good thing I don't get in. I just got an interim promotion at work with the promise of an additional promotion in June and have a lot of potential here all of a sudden. Harvard accepting me would create a whole layer of confusion and how could I turn it down even if it's really best for me to keep moving up where I am?
  22. Hmm interesting. I didn't think you officially get rejected until next month.
  23. I'm surprised no one on this thread has heard anything. But I suppose competition is really stiff even to just get an interview.
  24. Truthfully, I know my resume will be a better fit for the program in one more year, but I didn't want to wait that long because that's really two more years. By August, I know I'll be where I want to be going into the program, but unfortunately, my resume only reflected one year of work since my masters and that's probably not ideal for the program. I talked to a few EdLDs in DC last weekend who are in their residency year and they said that being so close to my masters was going to work against me.
