2016 Applicant's chances

Hello,

I am one of thousands of students currently in the process of applying for Fall 2016. I am applying to Washington University, Armstrong State University, Portland State University, Marquette University, Rush University and Northwestern University. Currently I have an in major GPA of a 3.95 and an out of major GPA of a 3.93. My GRE scores are V-158 Q-151- W-4.5. I have checked all of my stats against these school's pages on ASHA's edfind and seem to do well. I have been on staff in Residential living for two years. I spent a summer volunteering at a Children's hospital in the Speech Pathology department, I have been involved in NSSHLA throughout college. I also have a semester of clinical experience where I did weekly therapy for a client through my undergraduate program. The professors that I am asking to write my LORs are ones that I have very good relationships with and I think they will speak highly of me.The thing I am struggling with the most is not having a clue on whether or not I stand a chance on getting in. This is going to be the longest year of my life.

No offense to you in particular, but I cannot figure out why people with your stats come on this forum and are honestly unsure if you have a chance at grad school! You have basically a 4.0 and your GRE scores are way above average, PLUS you have relevant experience. YES, you will get in somewhere! Its the people with 3.0s and GREs in the mid 140s who have reason to be wondering.

Dont be so nervous, just apply to a bunch of places and be confident in yourself, youll get in!!

I'm pretty sure WashU doesn't have a speech path master's program.

I think you have a good chance at all of the other places, though.

I'm guessing OP meant University of Washington in Seattle, not Washington University in St. Louis.

I think even those with great stats can be just as nervous as anyone else.  I'm nervous because I will likely only be applying to local CA schools.  I have the stats and experience, but because I also have a job and a family I am limited as to which schools I can realistically apply to.  

I also have read about some applicants here on the forum who had seemingly stellar stats that did not get into grad school on their first try.  I imagine we will all be on edge until we have confirmed acceptances in hand!

I do not think you will have a problem getting into grad school at all. You have a very strong GPA and also good GRE's scores! AND also been involved in other activities.
