Devilpup12 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Which of the two options has more value, or will offer more opportunities: Option A: 2-year business transfer degree, + online bachelors degree.Option B: 2-year business transfer degree, + business management certificate, + business marketing certificate. Basically, do online degrees hold up against normal university degrees? Whats your experience?
juilletmercredi Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I'm assuming that you're in the U.S. and by "two year transfer degree" you mean an associate's degree at a junior college.Which provokes the question: is there some reason that you don't want to do a four-year degree at a brick-and-mortar school, or something that is preventing you from doing that? Because that would probably be the best option. The answer your question really depends on what programs you're talking about and where they're from. There's a difference between getting an online bachelor's at Capella or Walden and getting one at Penn State's World Campus or University of Arizona online. Generally speaking a bachelor's will offer you more opportunities, because many jobs do require a bachelor's degree, but some employers may not consider you if your bachelor's degree is from a for-profit or unaccredited online university. brown_eyed_girl 1
