Jong226 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Does anyone know any master program of statistics or applied statistics offering funding or any assistantship opportunity? I heard some school may have funding even for master students in the case that school has only master program without PhD one.
Severina Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Berkeley doesn't promise funding for masters students, but they often get it because there are more assistantships to be filled than the PhD students can cover.
efh0888 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 It's been noted many times in these forums that most of the Canadian schools offer funded MS degrees in all sorts of disciplines, including Stats and presumably Biostats.
beerkatmanor Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I know this is late, but for future people looking at this thread keep in mind a lot of schools give every accepted MS student a scholarship. Chicago Stats gives $15k, Duke Biostats does $10k, UCLA Biostats will let you have in-state tuition ($12k/year) after the 1st year. Taheel 1
