Here is my profile: Undergrad School: 1st in Italy Major: materials science and engineering, five year course Field of Interest: Material Science Degree Goal (MS/PhD): PhD(preferable) GPA: 4.0/4.0, ranked top 1% Awards: some awards and scholarships from Italy GRE: 156(Q),148(V), 3.5 (W) IELTS: 7.5 Reaserch experience: 3 month-intership in an international well-known institute, 1.5 years at my undergrad school Publications: none LOR: 3 strong Shortlisted Universities · Northwestern University · University of California- Santa Barbara · MIT Cornell Penn State · UPenn Boston University Rice university Virginia Tech Texas A+M Do u think i have any chances? and where else would you suggest me to apply?
rnvnasara Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 I think that the GRE is considerably low, most schools you applied for desire a score 165 (90%) for the Quantitative and at least at 150 (45%) for the Verbal. And a PhD MSE is a research job, if you can display you have the aptitude backed with strong research background (experience) with strong recommendation letters then you definitely can get it.
