okay, so I have a Master's in psychology and 5+ years experience in research, but I am interested in public health...but it looks soooo competitive, did anyone weigh the odds and come up with another doctorate out there...something combining psych and public health???

PhD in Sociomedical Sciences (I think that's the name) at Columbia.

PhD in Sociomedical Sciences (I think that's the name) at Columbia.

Also check out Columbia's epidemiology program (which will give you important skills/tools for public health research) as the department has a really good psych epi focus (check out Dr. Schwartz, who is a fabulous second semester epi professor).
