MSU: Where to submit the Academic and Personal Statement?

So I'm having this dilemma on submitting my application for Michigan State University.  Instructions say to submit my my 3 LOR, academic statement, personal statement, and resume through the MSU Graduate Application Portal.  However, when doing the Online Application, there will be a section that asks for the academic statement and personal statement.  Do I put my academic statement and personal statement on both the Online Application and Application Portal?  Or do I only put it on the Application Portal and mention on the Online Application that it will be forwarded through the Application Portal?  I emailed the school two days ago, but no response from them.

I put it just on the portal and just skipped those sections on the application. I think it's fine, but am awaiting confirmation from the department.

i have the email address of someone in the CSD department who works in admissions stuff, if you'd like it. She's new. Message me if you'd find it helpful.

I think I put it in both last year. I can't remember if it was required but I'm pretty sure I did both.

I am applying there as well. I have not submitted my MSU Graduate Application (I plan on it tomorrow - waiting until I get money deposited to pay the fee, and I want to revise my personal statement). To be safe I would put it on both. 

I'm guessing I will receive the link for Graduate Application Portal after submitting the MSU Graduate Application? I kind of just decided on applying here recently, so I haven't gotten to the entirety of the application yet. I have not received any link to send letters of rec yet. But it's better to be safe than sorry, so I would send it to both!

I just submitted mine yesterday and I sent it through both.  The link for Application Portal should be in the Online Application itself.  On the page that mentions LOR, there will be a link that sends you to the Application Portal.  Through there you can have your LOR and other stuff be uploaded there.

Oh okay, figured it out! Thank you!! I will submit it with both as well tomorrow or Tuesday!
