mm1928 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Some of my schools have deadlines of Feb 15th and March 15th for admission in Fall 2016. Would it be okay for me to retake my GREs near Jan 13th when applying to those schools? I already took them once and got 157 V, 158 Q, and 4.0. I'm worried this isn't good enough to MS programs for Biostatistics, so I want to retake them, but I don't know if mid-Jan is too late?
LuanFDS Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) I applied to Boston College and the deadline was January 2nd. I took the GRE again on December 18th, since I got a 163 in the quantitative reasoning, and I needed at least a 166, and my scores reached them by the deadline. I also paid ETS to send my TOEFL scores on December, 28th, and they gave me a estimated shipping date to January 1st. My TOEFL scores were processed by Boston College just on January 6th. I contacted the Graduate Program which I was applying and they told me that they would start the review process just on January 18th, so there would be no problem with late scores. You are retaking the GRE in advance, so I would not worry about. Also, there may be a window between the deadline and the date the committee will start the review of applications. I you have any concerns, you should contact the departments which you are applying and ask about late arrivals. Edited January 8, 2016 by LuanFDS
