Application already sent, got a new internship today: should I notify the school?

Hey there.

Back in mid-November I sent the application for my top school. Notifications are expected in a week or something. However, today I received an e-mail saying that I got a (pretty) prestigious internship starting in a couple of months (when my current internship ends) and lasting until September - which is exactly when I would start my Master's in the aforementioned school if admitted. Should I notify them about it? Can it have an impact of their final decision in some ways - in terms of work experience/appealing as potential candidate/whatever?

Thanks everybody!

I emailed a few POIs to tell them about an internship that I just got (I have a pretty good relationship with all of them), and they were really grateful for the information. If you feel comfortable/have talked with them before, I certainly don't think it would hurt to keep them updated?

I have not talked with any POIs unfortunately. I thought of e-mailing the Admission Office, but still, I don't think it would make any difference, especially considering that (A) they should forward this info to the Admission Committee and I am not sure whether this is something feasible or not, and (B) from Monday on, any day could be the one I will receive the final decision (they are expected in mid-January), which by the way might have already been made - maybe this new internship might change it, though?

What do you guys think?
