Riya11 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hi, I am planning on applying to MPH programs at 'University of Toronto', 'Simon Fraser University'. I have completed my Engineering in Bioinformatics. My grades are excellent. I have presented and published some papers in the same field. After my Under graduation, I have joined an MNC as a Software Engineer. Although I don't have much of an experience in the Health Field, I have enrolled in some background courses in Epidemiology and Statistics on Coursera. Are these Universities too ambitious for my profile? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
Jade355 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Hi, are you an international student? If so, I recommend writing a GRE exam. Although most MPH programs in Canada do not require their applicants to have written the GRE exam, it should be beneficial for international applicants as GRE is considered as a (relatively) fair measure of one's general academic aptitude. It is difficult to estimate your chances of admission without knowing more detailed profile (example: GPA, names/impact factors of published journals, other research experiences etc.)
