Has anyone heard from the following schools (embolden means accepted):

BU - SED (EdD, Developmental Studies: Literacy and Language)

BC - Lynch (PhD, Curriculum and Instruction: Language, Literacy, and Culture)

UMass, Amherst - CoE (EdD, Language Literacy, and Culture)

NYU - Steinhardt (PhD, Teaching and Learning: Literacy Education)

Temple - CoE (PhD, Education: Literacy and Learners)

Illinois, UIUC - CoE (PhD, Curriculum and Instruction: Literacy, Language, and Culture) [no word on funding yet]

Illinois, Chicago - CoE (PhD, Curriculum and Instruction: Literacy, Language, and Culture)

Michigan, Ann Arbor - Rackham/SoE (PhD, Educational Studies: Literacy, Language, and Culture)

Berkeley - GSE (PhD, Language, Literacy, and Culture)

Rejected at Temple

Hi travelingfiend, I have applied to PhD in Educational Studies (Language and Literacy) as well, but not to the US schools. Just thought I'd say hi and congratulations to your offer! Hope you will hear good news from the rest of them soon!

Hi! Just got rejected from here.... I'm sad because it's such a great school and program. I even had a LOR from a mentor who had the same advisor I wanted... Still no dice. Best of luck!

Hey travelingfiend, do you mean UMass? Whatever it is, I am sorry. It sucks to be rejected. I hope there are more good news to follow from other schools. 

I am becoming increasingly nervous--I have only applied to two Canadian universities. I have been checking the forum and haven't seen a lot of activities of the Canadian schools yet, but then this site is primarily for US schools...

Thanks! Haven't heard from UMass yet. Got rejected from Temple and Michigan thus far. Good luck to you as well

I got accepted to their LLC program last season, Fall 2015, but I had to defer my admission as I was only offered for tuition waiver. So, this season, I'll be looking harder for fundings. I hope you got better luck than I do and who knows we might be classmates. All the best!

When did you hear back from them last year? They also changed from an EdD to a PhD. Will this affect funding? Also, denied from BC
