Zarathustra15 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 A brief background before I ask my question. I did my undergraduate degree in economics from one of the top institutions in India, became the college valedictorian and attained academic scholarships. Im currently working at a econ research lab and have applied to courses at LSE, Cambridge and Oxford. Now, I got a 324 in my GRE (161V, 163Q) and everything on the internet tells me that's low for MSc/MPhil courses in these colleges. Is that true? And if it is, how much of a chance do I stand? Im dealing with a lot of anxiety on this front, any useful guidance would be welcome
hippyscientist Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 UK universities do not require the GRE as part of admission. If you have taken it, you can supply your scores but it is not asked for. In the UK we don't have the GRE (other than for those who are applying to US universities) and soto the original poster, relax. Your scores are fine (and irrelevant). Factors that will be considered more heavily are your letters of recommendation, your undergraduate grades (and typically what courses you took), and your personal statement.
