Vacation14? Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 So after grinding through this decision, I decided to make a late application for an MA (deadline is Feb. 1). After paying the application fee I looked at the required documents and they mentioned an official transcript and this: For this purpose, a transcript is considered official only if it is received in a university envelope which is sealed and signed on the flap by the official person in the office issuing the transcript. These must be returned to you signed and sealed, for submission with the application package. So my question is, do applicants request the undergrad university to send it directly to the University of Ottawa or do I have it sent to my address and then mail it myself (with the letter of Intent/SOP and CV/Resume) Thing is every-time I have questions concerning the mailing official transcripts, I don't get a reply from them (emailed the grad.info and scsgrad email addresses) so I'm kind of panicking here
Piagetsky Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 You can do either. I picked up sealed transcripts from my school and mailed them to Ottawa in the same package as everything else, and they were accepted.
msat Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Transcripts were automatically requested from my current university via my OUAC application.
VivaLasVegas Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I'm applying to uOttawa for my PhD in History. I ordered a transcript from my university and had them send it directly to uOttawa. You may want to make sure, though, that your program wants hard copies of the CV and SOP. I simply e-mailed it to them and it was fine, but again your program might have different requirements so your best course of action is to call them as opposed to e-mailing. It took me a while to get in touch with the History Department too, but after calling the main desk and explaining the problem they took me a little more seriously.
