amuccini Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 So I have 3 interview weekends coming for grad school in Biomedical Science type fields plus a visit (already got accepted!!!) later in march. I was wondering opinions on what to wear to the interviews. I just kinda assumed i was going to wear a suit but both my advisor and my research mentor told that wearing a suit was a no no and just to wear nice slacks and a nice shirt. Is that was is usually expected for interviews? Thanks! Arnold
sjoh197 Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Most people I know don't wear suits, but I am also in a more relaxedly dressed field. Unless it is going to be very cold in the building... I would also refrain from the suit. Nice slacks and a longsleeve blouse would be good. And comfortable shoes. I would never wear heels... you don't know how much you will be walking and will likely be on your feet all day. You don't want to be thinking about your feet rather than your purpose.
Infinito Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 This was also addressed multiple times under the Biology section.
