Confirmation of Sponsorship -- UVic

Hi, all, 

Any applicants or grad students of UVic out there (or people from other unis if you also happen to know) who knows what 'Confirmation of Sponsorship' means? I was checking my application status (first thing I do every morning) and saw this new item listed under my required documents. It's listed as a miscellaneous item and the full description is (Let: Confirmation of sponsorship). Any thoughts? I haven't applied for any funding or any kind of sponsor, but I did make contact with a faculty member who agreed to support my app.
