Thanks4Downvoting Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I'm just curious but how many letter writers should I have for my program. I have two of my Religious Studies professors that I am on extremely good terms with lined up. Likewise, I have one of my Classics professors ready to write for me. All these professors will be able to write glowing recommendations for me, having taken many of their classes. However, I feel like I should have another Religious Studies professor in line to write a recommendation. Is it a good idea to have a profession outside of my major write a letter? Will it even matter?

Other Div schools will accept just academic references (like for the MTS at Yale).

In any case you should be ok.

Thanks for the input, just trying to make sure I have all my ducks in a row.
