@bunception refresh, refresh, refresh! I'm so impatient at this point. I must confess that I am heavily leaning toward NYU but I am totally hoping and wishing you the best! Is this really the only thread about j-school admits?

I'm impatient as well. Keen on Columbia as it's the only school I visited and really liked. Then again, funding is a whole other beast.... Refresh refresh!

I googled "define bunception" and a bunch of bunnies dressed as bunnies popped up, too funny.  As to funding, yes, NYU has offered me a really wonderful scholarship and I don't think Columbia will offer me much, let alone admission. I had more time for the NYU application and my personal essay was much stronger sooooo, we shall see. I'm kind of miffed that CJ has posted the demographics of admitted students but  has not sent admission notifications. C'est la vie!

@bunception YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!!! So happy for you! I was not accepted, haha. I guess my decision is pretty easy now. To be honest, NYU is a better school for me and I am thrilled to be going there, especially with the financial support.  Columbia's open house is during the same time as NYUs, the 8th and 9th of April, I believe. I'll be in NYC from April 5-10 checking out the school, living situation, ect. If you'll be in the city,  PM me and I will give you my personal info. We can meet up and grab some food or a drink! Would be awesome to connect with some fellow NYC journalist.

I'm applying for a few J-schools for 2018 fall admission, so far have been rejected by UC Berkeley and Stanford (bye West Coast...), wonder if there are any other prospective J-school students here?
