I'm a second semester junior and I planning to pursue an MD/PhD. I have a decent GPA (3.76) and a lot of research experience. So I have two questions for you all-
1. How much doctor shadowing/volunteering do you recommend? I know it's not necessary, but it definitely looks good.
2. Applications open in June. I plan to have everything ready to go by then so I can apply early. However, I'm not planning on taking the MCAT until August due to a busy semester and a hopeful internship opportunity in the summer. How badly will this harm my application?
