DelilahSaylor Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 (edited) Hello everyone, I am a Macedonian student that wants to pursue an MA in the US. To give you an idea about monthly salary over here - it is roughly $400-500 with a university degree. It would be impossible to enroll in a university where I have to pay over $35 000 yearly without my parents selling our house, or me getting a job and saving up for the next 30 years or so. Now that you get the idea, any scholarships that you have gotten, or other funding opportunities that an international student in the US would be eligible for would help me a lot and other students with the same aspirations, I believe. Thanks for your suggestions! Edited February 4, 2016 by DelilahSaylor missed content
vonham Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 UIUC funds MA students in linguistics usually, and guarantees funding if they accept you with the intent to continue to PhD. At least that's what the website says.
palabracrush Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I'm about to graduate from UIUC and the linguistics program is solid. The SLATE program is also strong. I highly recommend it.
