Notify Programs of Last Semester's GPA or Not?

kmr

Question

So, last semester I had a 4.0/4.0, which raised my (good, but not perfect 4.0) GPA. Unfortunately, all of my programs' deadlines closed before the conclusion of last semester, so they do not know that I had a 4.0 last semester (and am trending upward on my gpa). Should I call the programs and ask them to update my files if decisions have not yet been made or should I leave it be?

No, you should not.

GPA will almost never be a deciding factor in admissions. Having too low of a GPA can get your application thrown out early, but you say your GPA was already good.

I don't really think anyone cares about differences in the 3.6/3.7 + range.

Having an overall 4.0 would be worth mentioning, but not just a single semester 4.0.
