Social Work Career Options

Just wondering what specific careers you guys are interested in! I know I want to do clinical work for sure, yet am playing around with the ideas of being a therapist, working in clinics, schools... lots of options!

I plan to work in mental health. One of my classes has led to an interest in child welfare, which I would have never imagined for myself.

I want to continue providing direct services as an advocate as I network and gain more administrative skills. Long term I'd like to be in nonprofit or public administration/community leadership. My BA is in political science with an emphasis on social movement politics (e.g. feminism, lgbtqi rights, immigration activism) and I've been working in the domestic violence/sexual assault arena for almost three years now. Victim services is my passion and I love that I go to work everyday and know that I'm making a difference, I find all of my fellow MSW applicants so impressive and encouraging
