I applied to UPenn's Fels Institute of Government full-time MPA program (not the executive program). I accepted the invitation to do an optional interview with an alum tomorrow. Has anyone else interviewed? Any thoughts on preparation? How about thoughts on phone interviews in general?

Thanks everyone!

I also did the interview last week! Obviously, you have already completed your interview too by now :)

I wish we had a better idea of where we are in the process, but I guess we will just have to waitttttt...

Hey!

Did you have your interview already? If so, how did it go? What kinds of questions did they ask? How did you prepare? Sorry for the million questions, mine's on Sunday and I'm nervous!

Hey Valentine,

I'm glad to see another Fels applicant here! The interview wasn't too scary. An alum called me and we talked for about half an hour about why I chose the program, why I'm interested in Philadelphia, and my future plans. Very standard stuff--and he was very relaxed about it. There weren't any surprises. It's a small program, so I'm crossing my fingers--hopefully we both get in! You'll have to update us with how your interview goes.

Anyone heard from Fels? Still waiting on them!

Such a long wait! I think it is safe to assume that they will ALL come out on March 15!

Has anyone heard from Fels so far? (I was interviewed by Director of Admissions & Graduate Studies on the 2nd of March) - So damn anxious,  *Fingers crossed*

I have not heard anything yet, but I think the decisions should arrive by tomorrow. It looks like they started to roll in on March 14th last year. Has anyone applied for a dual degree with the Fels MPA?

Good luck everyone!

I have applied to the standard 2 year MPA program. No dual degree. Just curious, which other degree are you pursuing alongside the MPA?

Best of Luck!

I've been accepted to the Ed Policy program, which can be combined with the MPA for a dual degree--but only if I get accepted to Fels! Hopefully today is the day we find out. Best of luck to you, too!

I just got the email to check the website! I got in!

And I have been wait-listed! Gutted! (Don't know what to do; final decision to come by mid-April) - Any chance that someone knows what are the chances of admission (slim, I guess?) - And what about aid consideration? - Should I forget Fels and pursue other options where I got in?

P.S. I think my average quantitative background was the deal breaker. :/
