For those currently employed - does your employer know?

Everyone at my job knows -  it's common knowledge because the owner (I work for a small business in a management position) wrote me a LOR.  If I hadn't been out of school for several years, I might have just gone with academic recs but due to the length of time I've been out of school and the nature of the programs I was applying to, getting the professional rec seemed like it would be helpful.  People have been mostly supportive, but I do feel like they have stopped investing in me in certain ways because they know I am leaving, and if I hadn't needed the letter, I wouldn't have told anyone.  

I will probably give two weeks notice when the time comes - that is more than enough for any job.
