DO MSW AS Programs tend to favor their own BSWs?

Hi, 

just like the title said. A lot of my BSW classmates applied to our school's MSW program. Most of them have been accepted (yay!). I haven't heard back from Chico State, the only place I applied, and paranoid me is wondering if MSW Advanced Standing programs tend to accept their own BSW grads first and then offer positions to other applicants.

Thoughts?

I got Advanced Standing acceptance from a different MSW program school who also offers a BSW.

It would seem like that might have lots to do with it since most require references from BSW professors, so they might have a big advantage. Not the end all be all.
