Has anyone heard anything from NCCU?

Has anyone received any communication from NCCU? If so was it by email or did you just check the "message center" on your own? Thanks.

I just saw on another board that some people heard Feb 27th. AH

All I've seen is that 2 people have heard from them but that's it. I'm anxiously waiting too!

The wait is horrible. It makes me feel rejected without being officially rejected. I wish you the best!

Wish the best for you all! Hopefully we all get accepted and we can laugh about this later haha. Before I applied, I emailed them and they said they would hopefully be decided by March 1st. I emailed last week to check in and never got a response.

Contacted them yesterday--they said they are still sorting through applications and will hopefully have decisions made by April 1st.

Wow! This situation is sooo weird. Do you think people are just being funny and posting acceptances on the results page. I have seen probably 6-8 post about people getting accepted. This whole thing is stating to become very strange.

I have no idea---I've only seen about one or two! Wish I knew more. The lady made it seem like they have not made any decisions so I don't know why people are posting! Would hope people would be honest on here! I'll keep you posted with anything I hear.

Is this the last school you're waiting for? I applied to 3 schools--got rejected to the first two so this is my last hope or I'll have to apply next year

Yes, it is. I am so nervous. It is like I am trying to be hopeful and make decisions for a plan B or C at the same time. Ugh!  This sucks!!!

Yeah totally feel ya! Can't really move onto plan B until we know. Are you in the Durham area? Are you going to apply again the following year if you don't get in?

No, I'm not in the Durham area (live in NC though). I am not sure if I'll apply again. I may move on to new ventures.

Nope. I am very confused at this point. You called and I called and they said April 1. I have been uneasy about this whole thing for 2 months now. This is just weird.

Yea, pretty disappointing. I am tired of dealing with NCCU. At least there should have been communication about your status ("wait listed, rejected). They just do not tell you anything. PLAN B HERE I COME!

I just received an email to check my portal because a decision had been made! I got accepted!! I hope you all hear the same good news!

Congrats!!! Hoping to hear something today too then! Thanks for keeping us posted. Do you mind sharing some of your background/scores and what not? NO PRESSURE AT ALL of course!!!!

I attended Purdue University and literally worked the entire time I was there so I ended up with pretty low stats.

 

Undergrad GPA: 3.09

CSDCAS GPA: 3.39 

And my CSD GPA was a 2.97

GRE Scores: I took it twice just to add more to my quantitative score. As you can tell, it didn't work.

Quantitative: 142    Verbal: 152  AW: 3.5 

Quantitative: 144     Verbal: 145  AW: 4.5

 

There is ALWAYS hope for those who don't have the best scores! A lot of it is about applying smart and unfortunately applying many places. I wish the best of luck to you!!!!

Thanks so much for sharing--truly appreciate it. Mine stats are pretty good, although I am currently finishing up pre reqs. I will be finished this summer. I would assume good GPA' for undergrad, good grades in my pre req courses and decent GRE scores would get me in! Crossing my fingers and hopefully we will get to meet each other!
