elenavp91 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 So here is the deal. Me and my husband were awarded a Fulbright scholarships to study in the US starting this fall. We are both architects, but my partner is applying to a PHD program and me to a M Arch. The thing is, he started learning English just a year and a half ago so, obviously, his grades on standardized exams (GRE TOEFL) are lower than mine, but his experience is way greater than mine (research, working abroad, teaching, studying abroad..). Anyways, we applied to 7 schools is hopes to get accepted to at least one school, and now have one option so far that has said yes to us both (University of Kansas). I am really getting anxious because I got accepted to Penn State, WashU, UT-Austin, and NC State, but he hasn't heard from any of those schools. Should we write and ask about his application? Does this mean he is on some kind of waiting list? We haven't mentioned our condition (married) through the application so maybe it is time to let them know it is a decisive factor. Thanks for the comments!

There's a good chance he's on some kind of waiting list. The email should come from your husband, but of course you can correct the English since he's still learning. Good luck!
