MissEverdeen Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Hi, I got an offer from Arizona State University for the MS in Mech program, but I am planning to take up a different offer. How do I inform them that I wish to decline the offer? I wasn't able to find any page where I had to accept/decline, or pay any kind of deposit. I am already receiving e-mails to register for courses. Should I mail the graduate department to inform them of my decision? Thanks! svent 1
GradSchoolTruther Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Email the Director of Graduate Studies for the department.
Citizen of Night Vale Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 When I declined offers, I emailed the DGS of the programs I was accepted to and wrote something like, " I am grateful to have received admission into ______ university's graduate program in _____ for Fall 2016. After much thought, I regret to inform you that I will not be accepting this offer. Please let me know if you have any questions."
svent Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I recommend sending an email that doesn't make it look like you hired an HR Director.
