gazelle
I emailed UCSD's IR/PS to confirm receipt of my transcript and GRE scores sent on October 8th. They emailed back and said they received the transcript, but not the GRE scores, but that they had received an influx of mail in the past few days. I guess I was under the impression ETS sent the scores electronically when you requested the score report be sent. Are paper scores via snail mail the default sending method? With the deadline Friday, I'm a bit worried as I thought I had taken care of this long ago.
glasses
Are paper scores via snail mail the default sending method? Yes -- but you said you sent them on Oct. 8, right? They really should be there by now! Maybe bug ETS? (I say that with trepidation, believe me -- I spent 4 hours on the phone with ETS today. 4. Hours. For most of that time, I was on hold.) tskinner
EUGH! I HATE ETS! You have to pay $20 for each school you want to inform, then they give away your scores and GPA to schools from nowhere so you get all these e-mails inviting you to apply to placed that don't even have programs you're looking for! Why does it cost so much to send a tiny piece of information when they're also giving them away for free!? From what I understand, most of the schools receive a CD with reported scores on them. Then they get these CDs two or three times a month. Can you imagine a couple hundred people on one CD? Those couple hundred paid $20 each to get a few bytes of space on that disk! That's the most expensive CD ever made. Market power is a bitch.
gazelle
Luckily I received an email from UCSD saying they did indeed receive them electronically...crisis averted!
