JHU vs. NYU (Jewish Thought)

Dear friends,

I have a complicated decision right now ahead. I thought that nothing good will happen with my grad life, but now there are even two offers: JHU History, and NYU Hebrew and Judaic studies. I'm going to study one of the early modern Jewish philosophers and mystics who is almost forgotten by now. 

Where should I apply? I have a very good set of personal connections with JHU (my current supervisor may be also moving to JHU), but NYU seems to be very interested in me and I would like to "start it all over again". I almost set up my mind to NYU, but maybe you could offer me an advice. 

I will be thankful for any advice, endorsement or just for any word of support (I feel strangled). 

I decided to make my decision by today.
