Hi,

I am currently applying to these schools/programs:

Top choices:

1. Carnegie Mellon University OR

2. Stanford University - Operations Research (OR)

3. Cornell University OR

4. Columbia University - OR

Other choices:

6. University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill - Interdisciplinary Statistics & Operations Research (INSTORE)

7. Georgia Institute of Technology - OR

"Just-in-case" schools (Schools 'guaranteed' to admit me)

I have already started applying to the schools above, and currently thinking of applying to the schools below.

9. Iowa State University - Biostatistics & Computational Biology (BCB)

10. University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) - Applied Math

What do you think my chances of getting admission+funding and preferably an early acceptance - I am an international student that needs to be admitted by early April) and feel free to recommend other schools to replace these (schools 9-11). My main interest is in Operations Research/Statistics, but I'll settle for math/bcb/anything if it comes down to it.

Undergrad: Lincoln University (small black Univ in PA) - BS in Math & Physics

GPA: 3.61 overall; 3.91 math; 3.61 physics

GRE: quantitative 770 - 87%; analytical 620 -89%; writing 3.5 - 23%

Subject GRE: 520 - 20% (I would prefer NOT to use this score/test)

Math courses: Calculus I,II,III (A-,A,A), Differential Equations (A), Linear Algebra (A-), Real Analysis (B+), Numerical Methods (A-), Senior Seminar (research class) (A-), Statistics I,II (A,A-)

I have no idea about your acceptance chances but basically all funded offers are made by early April because the deadline to accept/decline them is April 15.
