student_rkb Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Hello I am applying to Hunter CUNY for the advanced standing MSW program fall 2016. I have an interview next week and was wondering if anyone has had their interview already and can give me some sample questions or advice. I am very nervous and scared. Thank you!!!
malkie Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 I had a group interview . They asked us to introduce ourselves, what three qualities we believed Social workers need. Interviewer also asked what group we wouldn't feel comfortable servicing, and what we would do if someone had a different opinion than you. We were then given an article and asked to write what it had to do with social work and family. No need to be nervous or scared the interviewer was really nice. Good Luck!
Dannie820 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 I hope I'm not too late. The group interview was honestly not very scary. Just answer every question to the best of your ability. I spoke to someone before the interview started so i felt a lot more relaxed. I saw many people got scenario questions but my group did not get those questions, i think we ended up running out of time. We mainly spoke about why we chose this path, what qualities we have and what we believe social workers should have. My group spoke to one another a lot which is why i think we never got to the scenarios lol. at the end we had 40 minutes to respond to the article. Don't be nervous, i thought i did terrible in the interview but i got in!
