Auro Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 (edited) Hi All, I am working as an engineer in India. I want to study neuroscience and electronics (or more specifically about Brain-Computer Interfaces using neural implants). I have checked out some programs in universities and found this topic under neural engineering. However, I need some guidance in choosing specific programs/universities which would be suitable considering my profile. My Profile - CGPA (undergrad) - 7.93/10 (IIIT-Bhubaneswar, India) GRE - 321 (2013) TOEFL - 106 (2013) Planning on attempting again this year for fresh scores Additional Courses - PG Diploma in VLSI (CDAC, Pune, India) Work Experience - RTL Design and Verification Engineer, Wipro Technologies, India (1+ year(s) currently) Publications - 2 IEEE International Conferences organised in India (One in embedded, signal processing and one in Power Systems, Control Systems) I am thinking of taking the GRE again but I am hopeful that the old score would do. Please advise regarding that as well. If anyone here is already in similar course I would appreciate some tips on what the admission committee might be looking for. I am not confident that my profile fits the requirements for the program/field I intend to apply for. I am also mulling over doing a masters in microelectronics first and then going for neural engineering later in Ph.D but I fear this route may restrict my chances of getting into Ph.D. programs in neural engineering.
