brainz Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Hi! So I feel silly even asking, but want some advice. I'll be applying to cognitive neuroscience programs in the fall and just got my offical GRE scores back. I got a 170 V, 158 Q (70th percentile), and 5.5 writing. So not scores to be upset about... but I'm still a little worried because my advisors have said quant is the most important. Any advice?
GREzzz Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 how did you prepare in the first place? I got a 149 on quantitative, and a 157 on verbal. Im taking it again in 2 months and would love any advice! Also, not sure Im in the place to give you study advice, but I have a friend who improved her quantitative by studying with people who scored higher than her! Usually there are multiple ways to solve the Quantitative problems, and exposing yourself to people who choose faster, more efficient methods can help you save time, and raise your score!
